I took pictures on the school’s cameras and made an advert for SHSG Sixth Form on photoshop. The advert combines professional photography with clear, concise text to portray the school as the best choice for students looking for a sixth form.
I chose a colour scheme of green, yellow and white as these are colours in the school’s colour palette. The predominant colour I chose is green and I used multiple shades as that is also the school’s main colour, so I felt it was necessary to mainly use it.
I chose to use a picture of a teacher helping students as it reinforces the school’s message of ‘Safe Happy Successful’ which is referenced on the advert. The photo of two students smiling also emphasises the family ethos of the school, and shows how happy they are to be there.
Overall, I believe my advert’s overall design communicates with its target audience both the strong academic results the school achieves and the incredibly friendly family-like atmosphere.
